# I Wrote the Book I Wish I Had When I Started Building Software with AI

Today, I'm launching my new Vietnamese book, *Ship Tiền Về Cho Mẹ* - literally, `Build, Ship, and Send Money Home` (first draft).

The subtitle captures its real purpose: **from vibe coding to software people will pay for**.

AI has made it incredibly easy to generate code. But code that works on your laptop is not yet a product. Clients do not care which model you used. They care whether their data is safe, whether the system survives real users, whether changes break existing features, and whether someone else can maintain what you deliver.

I wrote this book for junior and mid-level developers who already know how to code and may already use Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or similar tools but want to build software with more confidence and turn that work into real value.

Inside, I share the practical process I use as a senior developer to move from an idea to dependable, sellable software:

*   diagnose when you are only generating code instead of engineering a product;
    
*   turn requirements into specs, acceptance criteria, and tests;
    
*   build harnesses and guardrails that let AI agents work without wandering off course;
    
*   review architecture, performance, and security with evidence;
    
*   scope, price, deploy, hand over, and operate software professionally.
    

Each chapter ends with something you can apply to a real project in 60 minutes. The goal is not to make you read more theory. It is to help you create the artifacts, evidence, and habits that make your work trustworthy.

You do not need the most expensive model (*Fable 5, Opus 5 with Max/Ultra effort*). You need a better process around the model.
